Specialist Programs

Specialist Programs

Students from Pre-Primary to Year Six participate in the following Specialist Programs every week, in addition to their class-based learning programs.

Auslan: Our Languages curriculum sees students involved in Auslan lessons (Australian Sign Language). Students learn a variety of words and communication strategies through sign language, many of which are incorporated into daily classroom routines.

Science: Students experience hands-on Science lessons in our Science Lab, learning through investigation, collaboration and experimentation. Our Science lessons are intentionally longer than other specialist subjects, allowing for the integration of STEM as students learn about the world around them.

Physical Education: Students develop their gross motor skills, sport specific techniques and teamwork skills during Physical Education lessons. This is complemented by a weekly class based sport session.

Dance: Dance provides a creative outlet with opportunities for students to grow as performers. Students are able to develop their creativity and self-expression.

Art: Students work in our Art room, as they create a variety of art pieces through a range of mediums. The creativity of each student is valued and students have opportunities to reflect on Art in our society. Student work is showcased at our annual Art Exhibition.
